The Story behind my Mundane Magic series:

It all started with a desperate desire to look at meals + snack time with a refreshed perspective. I was becoming so frustrated with our little eaglet being picky as ever, throwing food all over the room, and just constantly being on the floor cleaning crumb (and who knows what else!) covered avocado. 

One day she was smearing spaghetti across her tray and I saw beauty in the mess.

I thought maybe if I started thinking of it as inspiration it would shift my mindset to be less annoyed and more excited about the mess.  I decided right then to remember meal times are a gift (in so many ways) and to use that gift of inspiration and excitement to be able to think bigger mess = better ideas.

Picking up food off the floor constantly still isn’t my favorite but I am finding BIG MAGIC in the mundane these days and also feeling more thankful than ever that there is even food down there to be cleaned up.

My hope is to inspire you to look at something (anything!) that is frustrating or feels mundane in these weird times, and try to figure out how it can be beautiful. Theres got to be a way.  I hope these bring a dose of joy and encouragement today!
